With the increasing popularity of fancy shape diamonds we are always looking for new and unique ways for our clients to express their individual style. This includes sourcing new and unique diamond cuts and the radiant cut diamond is no exception.
While the radiant cut diamond isn’t exactly a new shape on the market, it is one that hasn’t garnered a lot of attention. Since this cuts invention in 1977, it has remained low on the industry’s radar but high on all other factors. The radiant is considered to be a hybrid diamond shape as it incorporates brilliant cut facets, from the popular round brilliant cut diamond, and step cut facets, like those of emerald cut diamonds. The combination of these two types of facet styles creates a brilliance like no other and can also hide imperfections and inclusions better than any other style of cut. These are just a few of the many reasons why we love this shape.
The radiant cut diamond is also very versatile with its ability to suit many different setting styles and ring designs. We love it in the diamond halo setting pictured at left. The diamond halo is the perfect accent to all of the radiant cut diamonds brilliance and with diamonds set down the shoulders of the ring too, it creates an out-of-this-world look.
If you are in the market for diamond that is not only brilliant and classic but a tad bit unique as well, the radiant cut diamond could be just what you are looking for.
